Siudy Garrido Flamenco Company and South Florida Symphony Orchestra Present Amor Brujo > Experience the electrifying fusion of passion and rhythm as the world-renowned Siudy Garrido Flamenco Company, led by acclaimed dancer and choreographer Siudy Garrido, joins forces, once again, with Maestra Sebrina María Alfonso and South Florida Symphony Orchestra (SFSO) for the return of the critically acclaimed flamenco dance-theater production, Amor Brujo. The one-night-only event occurs on Saturday, June 15, at 8 p.m., at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Knight Concert Hall. The star-studded production also features notable screen actor and Broadway star George Akram. Akram gained recognition for his portrayal of Bernardo in the hit Broadway revival of West Side Story from 2008-2011, making history for being in the longest-running Broadway production of West Side Story and winning a GRAMMY for Best Musical Theater album. Also featured is Latin GRAMMY nominee Argentina López, and acclaimed flamenco virtuoso José Manuel Álvarez. This evocative collaboration brings to life the passionate narrative of Candela, a grieving widow who finds new love amidst the presence of her husband's ghost.
