Unfortunately we missed it this year - how did it go?

I didn't go down into the thick of things this year, but I could see it from my window and balcony, and it sure was crowded. The bandstand is set up right in front of our building so I could hear the music loud and clear. Personally, I liked the bands that played for New Years Eve better than what I heard last night. But that's just me.
I had taken a walk earlier during the day when everyone was setting up and there were some interesting vendors so I'm sure it was successful and fun was had by all. It seems fewer people were wearing costumes, but, as I said, I couldn't see it all from my vantage point. I know from last year that there was more activity further down the street. Hope someone who was there can fill you in with more details. |

I went and it was great and a lot of fun. Didn't dress up, but definitely will next year.

Yes! We went to Moonfest this year. It was a beautiful balmy night. My friend & I arrived just before 7pm and there were some festive folks around then. When we got out from Dramaworks around 9:30, MOONFEST was in full swing. In front of the new Library they had some booths for kids. Walking east it was more adult oriented. Lots of crowds around Dr. Feelgood. Pastiche had an exceptionally gruesome either person or statue and it enticed us to go in and have a drink at the "very happy" bar.....
Driving away from the area around 11:30, people in costume were walking to the Clematis area. Trying to upload photos..... mf1.jpg mf2.jpg |
